Development and operation of high availability systems designed to serve highly trafficked websites.
On top of several other websites we manage, in order to keep the social network portal iWiW up and running our system engineers operate over 100 servers and network devices 24 hours a day. In peak load this infrastructure serves over 3.000 dynamic pages, over 400 high resolution images and approximately 17.000 thumbnails every second. We designed and implemented the server architecture of Hungary’s most visited site in a way, that it tolerates the drop-out of individual system components with practically uninterrupted performance.
Performance tuning from hardware to application level
High load systems need extra carefully selected hardware. Prior to choosing from recognized hardware components for our principals, as a part of our consultative activity, we do discrete preliminary analyses for our customers, simulating the expected traffic of the application.
In case of such high load websites as iwiw.hu or www.aranyoldalak.hu, performance tuning is inevitable. As performance tuning is an integral part of our daily life, it is important to have system engineers exceptionally experienced in working with Linux and Solaris operation systems as well as Oracle and MySQL database servers.
